I received my glock 19 gen 4 brand new in the box. I noticed the slide had some discoloration, is this normal for a glock? If so, how do I bring the color back? Thank you

Shane, Clean it, shoot it, and forget about it. Keep it lubed lightly. The DLC coatings on the Gen 4s are pretty inconsistent.
Shane, without seeing your slide, this will depend on the degree of discoloration of the area compared to the rest of the slide. You can try cleaning and very lightly lubing the area to see if it is just cosmetic. In any event, the finish should not be vastly different to the general slide finish.
