Believe me, if you are shooting at someone in your house, the brand shell you're using will not matter, and you'll not even notice the recoil. Avoid slugs, and I say avoid the 00 buckshot. You're going to be concerned about over penetration inside a dwelling. Get yourself some 'low recoil' ammo for practice/range training ... where you WILL notice the recoil.

Get some number 4, 2 3/4 inch lead shotshells. At the range you are shooting it will be devastating and will not penetrate walls like buckshot will.
