  • What does the LE in Mfr: 'Walther LE' mean and how does it differ from 'Walther Arms'? Does it signify some difference in the handgun?

  • It stands for Law Enforcement, and is a model/package designated for sale under the manufacturers program to Law Enforcement/Military personnel. Usually, this is a designation for firearms the manufacturer supplies to dealers at a discount, to be passed on to the 'professionals' at a reduced price or other special features.

  • LE = Law Enforcement, most of the time it is the exact same gun but is either at a discount for qualified professionals, a special package including more magazines/accessories, or both.

  • Jim, LE = Law Enforcement. The pistols are the exact same in both. The LE package usually comes with additional accessories like extra magazines etc over the standard pistol.
