Is there a safety on this
It has the Taurus security system which is a built in lock to lock the guns hammer for storage.
Aieen, Transfer bar safety and half notch for the hammer to rest off a cartridge.
There is no safety on this firearm. The hammer acts as the safety.

It’s not so much an actuated safety (like a “red for dead” button or lever) as it is a safety feature, like a drop safety or mag cut-off. The transfer bar inside the hammer assembly and sear assembly prevents the hammer from striking the firing pin unless pulled through, but it’s not the most reliable. However, DA/SA revolvers are some of the safest firearms available because of the long initial trigger take-up which acts as a safety in its own right. If you’re really looking for a carry firearm with an actuated safety, auto-loaders are going to give you the most variety. If your heart is set on a revolver (which I absolutely understand. They’re near and dear to me too!) you may have to make some concessions.
