  • Trying to decide between a NEW Pointman .45 or a USED Silverback. They are both about the same price. The gun will be used for some sport shooting and then become an heirloom given to my son. Which one would you buy...and why? Thanks!

  • Gwyn, both are high quality Pistols. Used is as used does and my choice would be to go new Pointman. Just my opinion since it is guaranteed to be broken in to my standard and will have a finite round count from day one. On the Silverback, if it is mechanically sound, should have no issues serving your intended purpose as well.
