Buds ships free to your FFL when you buy, but if you are asking how much it would cost for you to ship a gun, that would be different. You mentioned "mail" a gun -- while I am not qualified to provide legal advice, my understanding of the laws is that individuals cannot "mail" a gun via US Mail. Only FFLs can use US Mail. You can ship via Fedex or UPS, but you need to use one-day overnight Air, and you need to inform them the package contains a firearm. Overnight air can cost about $60-$70. Some FFLs offer shipping services, and they are allowed to ship US Mail, Fedex Ground and UP Ground, which are much cheaper. My own FFL says Fedex has better insurance. Ground shipping for a pistol costs $10 or less, plus whatever fee your FFL charges. $25/ground via an FFL should cover it.
Buds also lists FFL that they have previously done business with and the fees for the last transaction, the fees do vary as do the quality of the FFL's, so do your research
Shipping for firearms ordered on BudsGunShop.com is free to recipients in the contiguous United States. If you are shipping your item to Kentucky as a private sale or transfer, shipping costs can vary dependent upon the shipper used. We have a sister site, shipmygun.com, that can help offset the costs of shipping your firearm and ensures it ships to an active FFL dealer.

I have shipped guns back to the manufacturer for repair using FedEx and UPS before. Cost was covered by manufacturer, but I am a private citizen without an FFL, so a private citizen CAN ship a firearm provided it is legal in the sending and receiving states, and provided you are sending to an FFL on the receiving end. If it is a private party transfer, then the other party would have to go to the FFL to pick up the gun and fill out the paper work. You will need to send a copy of your Driver's license with the gun for the FFL's records.
