William, the Ultra Lite was a 5-Shot - The 856 has a 6 Round Cylinder Capacity, Transfer Bar Safety and Overall Weight of 16oz Unloaded.

the 85 is no longer in production the 856 is slightly heavier (16 oz. 856 15 oz 85 UL ) and the 856 has a 6 round capacity the 85 had a 5 round capacity Taurus offers many more finish options available in the 856

The 85 was just that....ultra light. The capacity was slightly different.
