I keep going back and forth. Ultimately, I want to go hunting. I want to fill my freezer with the best meat on earth and need to get a good hunting rifle.
    Thanks

  • Wow...just get all of them. LOL. I actually have the B-14 in .308. I have a Remington 700 in .308 with 26” barrel and a 700 in .223 with 20” barrel. I HAD a Savage BA Stealth in .338 Lapua Mag. Honestly, the Bergara is probably the nicest for precision shooting and hunting. The best meat! Hahaha. You’re funny, man. With the Remingtons, some people have said they got top layer rust when they picked up the rifle at the FFL. Some 700s also had a recall a while back. But I love them. If you want to spend less money than all these rifles I would recommend a HOWA with a heavy barrel, or as they call it, heavy contour #6 barrel. They cost less and HOWA guarantees 1” MOA at 100 yards, as long as you set it up correctly. Again, the Bergara B-14 is the one I would go with. Sorry for the long response. I usually say more than what I need. It was my pleasure to assist you.

  • Kenny, all things considered, they are all reliable and accurate rifles. The question is what price point do you want to pay for that accuracy? I own several Savages and can attest to their "Out of the Box" accuracy from 22LR through 300 Win Mag. It will undoubtedly give you the same bang for less bucks.

  • Kenny, Not one is best. The reputation of the Remington 700 as a meat harvester is renowned. Made in Arkansas. The Bergara B14 has lot of options. Butt spacers, adjustable cheek comb, and internal mini chassis. Very accurate.Great barrels made in Spain. Uses Remington scope base. Action and safety same as Rem 700. I'm a Savage guy. Great accuracy. Super barrel. Accu-Trigger can't be beat. Also has adjustable cheek comb. Savage and Bergara can both use Magpul AI pattern magazines. All are around 9 lbs. All around $900 to $1000 for comparable models like the budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/46196/remington+700+magpul+enhanced />----budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/9839/bergara+rifles+b-14+hmr+65+crd+22%5c%22+5%2b1+b14s352 />---budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/8552/savage+10ba+stealth+65mm+creedmoor />I would get the Savage for how well it is built. How accurate it is and the price/value.

  • Yeah the Bergara hands down will be great. Bergara makes absolute some of the best factory rifles. The stock on the B14 is so nice.

  • The Savage has to be one of the best for its price range. I never shot a b14 I just held one at a local gun shop. I like the 700 platform but Savage has won me over. Im not much of a hunter just a target shooter.
