Can you fire 44 40 cartridges in the 44 mag?

Randy, No 44-40 out of 44 mag revolver. Even though 44 mag is hotter by 300+ fps the problem is case shape. The .44 WCF or 44-40 has a rimmed bottlenecked case. So the boolits are different shaped cases.

no the 44-40 case could rupture in the larger 44 mag chamber causing damage and injury
