  • I need help picking out a scope for my 22. I have the rugar mini ranch. Bolt action. It has the rails. I need the scope and mounting rings. I'd like a good scope. How much can I expect to spend. And what is the best dimension? 9x 40mm? I really would like some input. Thanks.

  • Gary, I highly recommend a 22 specific calibrated Scope Sir. BSA's Sweet 22 Series of scopes will fill the bill at a reasonable cost. Depending on your max shooting distance, you can select the variable magnification strength you prefer here : budsgunshop.com/search.php?q=sweet+22&type= -------------- I would not add unnecessary weight to the rifle and go with this Ulttra Light One Piece Scope Mount : budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/718006333/aero+ultralight+1%22+extended+scope+mount+black

  • Check out the Bushnell Rimfire Optic 6x18 scope. It's parallax adjustable and super clear and sharp. I put one on a Ruger 10/22 Target and it's been a fantastic combo. Lot's of good scopes out there just make sure you get one designed for .22 rimfire for the best performance. You should be able to stay under $200.00 for a scope for a .22.
