  • Brayden, the coating is applied to the steel case to protect from corrosion. Polymer, Zinc or Lacquer all provide this. Lacquer has a higher tendency to melt and gum up when firing long streams of ammo and the rifle heats up. This ammo has a Zinc coating which is preferable 1st, Polymer 2nd and Lacquer 3rd.

  • Brayden, This round is Zinc coated. Best of all worlds. Polymer or lacquer will both gum up a hot chamber/barrel. The polymer and lacquer are coated on. The zinc coating is applied by electrostatics and is far superior. This is a quality round.
