BudsGunShop.com - Stevens M320 12 gauge vs 320 20 gauge

Is the 20 gauge really that much tamer with recoil than the 12 gauge with low recoil rounds? Seems to me the heavier 12 gauge will absorb more recoil. The low recoil round helps too. We like the 6 round 12 gauge and don't really want to switch to a 5 rnd 20 gauge if recoil can be roughly equal. Home defense, wife with arthritis. Thoughts?

Brett, no Sir. The 12ga is heavier and the 20ga is proportionately smaller receiver/frame and felt recoil difference will not be as different as most folks think. I would go with the 12ga for the increased effectiveness and use a recoil decelerator pad. budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/92727/limbsaver+10552+airtech+slip-on+recoil+pad+large+black
