It costs Smith & Wesson a lot of time and money to make state compliant models. Thats very respectable of them, because they could just say forget California and move on. I’m sure there are a lot of fees and things they have to pay. Plus it takes more work to make compliant versions. They require more parts and work to out together and make sure they function.
