That's a very tough question. There are so many brands on the market. Most AR platform weapons are only different by the amount of bells and whistles you want to pay for. Mil spec is mil spec regardless who makes it. First of all you need to know what it is that you want. Caliber, barrel length etc and how you plan to use it. Plinking, hunting, self defense. Then what kind of budget you have. If your good with your hands you may want to try a diy build.(which I recommend) Your can spend on the low end 400 or 500. Mid range maybe 600 to 1000. Then upper end >1000. You can always stay with the popular brands Ruger, Colt, Springfield. And if you want to spend a little more try Daniel Defense, Noveske. Good luck on your search.

Depends on $$ and bells and whistles. They are all pretty good though. Things like nickle boron bolts and machined vs forged recievers, although nice upgrades, cost more.
