  • I’ve been happy with mine. I have one of the original M&P Sports. At that time, they shaved cost by eliminating the forward assist and ejection port dust cover. Now, I understand those things are included in the present version.
    The only advise I should give (if you get one) is to lock the bolt back, insert the magazine, and hit the paddle release… to load the gun. As opposed to just pulling the charging handle and releasing with your fingers. I was having an occasional feeding and jamming issue and was damaging (denting) some of my ammo until I was advised to load this way. No more issues. I load my handguns the same way now too.

  • You should buy what you are comfortable with. The S&W is certainly a reliable rifle for it's intended purpose. You may want to consider what purpose the rifle would serve for you and also visit a local gun store to get a chance to feel one and see if it is a comfortable fit for you.
