So the Swift A-frame ammo would work to punch trough a deer's shoulder bone and have enough penetration and knock power to kill the deer

Yes. the A-Frame is designed to do just that. A standard hollow point usually expands, and a hardcast penetrates. The A-Frame gives you the best of both worlds. The Swift A-Frame won't let you down. A deer is not that tough.

They come frozen and full of marrow. They are much thicker then deer too. If they blow through them, it will do more to your deer.

I'd get some cow knuckle bones from your local butcher and test it at various ranges. My butcher gives me bags for for my dogs. Or the local grocery store sells 6-10pack of cow bones for $5. The test is better then advice.
