I would give the FFL a call and see what's happening
My FFL usually goes to UPS if he is not home from work in time to sign for it. UPS will also attempt a redeliver the next day

If tracking shows an "unsuccessful delivery attempt", it means that the item is still in possession of UPS and they'll try to redeliver it. I would recommend you contact UPS to find out more details and the reason for the delivery failure. There might be a code on the gates, FFL is closed due to the current situation with Covid-19 etc., so you really want to clarify that before it was sent back to the sender. Also, call FFL and find out if they are open now.
Let me know when you'll have an update.
Good luck, and stay safe!
