  • So I have this and the magazine pop out really fast which I don’t mind at all. Sometimes when I’m doing drills I let them fall to the ground. I bent one a bit. Is there a hack to protect this? I see some people put black electrical tape but that looks funky for such a nice gun like this.

  • Tape? I wouldn’t use tape. You can buy magazines that have a little bumper on them or buy this: budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/73293/pachmayr+mbk+magazine+bumper+kit+for+colt+1911+magazine it was my pleasure to assist you.

  • I use the kits that Rudy linked and I have never damaged a magazine by letting the free fall on dirt or gravel

  • Mike, there will be only a small portion of the magazine that contacts the mag well when seated. If you can find that spot, it will take just a single small layer of clear packing tape to prevent it from shooting out. It will usually be the slightly worn area on the body of the magazine. Be safe!
