  • I have a Kimber 1911 Custom LW 45 ACP...as well as a Spring Field Armory AI Mil Spec 45...the Pro Mag 10 RD magazine will not seat in either gun..magazine slides in mag well up to the stop..but will not pass that point...did not want to force the issue..after using a micrometer both mags seem to have identical measurements....anyone had similar problem?

  • Cecil, I have not tried the Pro Mag. Does it hang up if you press the mag release at the same time you are inserting? Pro Mag has a decent warranty and will likely resolve this for you at 1-800-438-2547 Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm MST.

  • Cecil, many times 1911 mags have a hard time making it past the mag release for the first few times......try pushing in on the mag release button and insert the mag again.....I suspect it will go in and lock in place......sometimes I have to smack my mags into my Springfield 1911
