  • Are all pawn shops idiots and aholes?I asked them to receive a firearm for me.I am currently out of town,RN..,so I ask nicely could my daughter pick it up,because she was going to be the actually owner of the firearm. They accused me of a straw deal. This has just ruined me and my husband from buying any more firearms online. Our regular FFL is closed due to virus. We never realized what aholes these kind of people were.We live in a 500k home.Is this Really what america has come too?

  • Sorry I know you dont want to hear this but they are following the law the gun being shipped to you and the transfer paperwork makes it look like a straw purchase the best way would have been to get gift cards and then have her buy the gun with the gift cards. as of now you need to be the one to pick the gun up and then after it is your gun you can give it to her following the laws in your state.

  • Wow! Your home is worth $500k? My goodness! If you had told them that from the start, they probably would have happily violated federal firearms transfer laws for you and put their business in jeopardy. Perhaps now that you've let everyone know your palace is worth $500k, they'll rush the firearm over to your estate and give it to whomever you choose...I don't see why they wouldn't.

  • It seems as if you have other issues. That law is set in place for a good reason. Enough said.

  • Teresa, an FFL Dealer, even a pawn shop can lose their firearms license if they do not obey Federal Laws pertaining to the purchasing of firearms. When a firearm is purchased by someone using their established account, they are the potential owner in the eyes of the law and it can only be transferred to that person only legally. The only possible thing that could have been done was for you to have bought your daughter a Buds Gift Card in the full amount of the purchase and let her ordered it under her own name. This would have alleviated the undue stress you had to go through. I hope you get it sorted out non the less. Cheers and you and yours stay safe!
