DJ R, As you know 22lr firearms are all basically not 100% reliable. The magazine is generally the biggest problem in malfunction of the 10/22. Then it is ammo related. Break in and see what mags and ammo work best. Then buy those. You're going to have an occasional issue. No 22 lr rimfire semi-auto will be perfect.

Some of the BX-25 banana mags have been less reliable in my 10/22 and they seem to fit more loosely than the 10-round rotary magazines. That might be part of your issue assuming you are getting failures to extract not failures to feed because the cast part of the magazine feed mechanism actually acts as an ejector rather than part of the trigger group or bolt.
Also I had a takedown model that would malfunction frequently and it ended up being that I had broken the extractor off while taking the gun apart without locking the bolt back. Surprised it functioned as well as it did without that piece.

DJ, you should give it a 300rd break in period and a good cleaning and lube. You should acquire several 50rd boxes of different brand solid and hollow point brands and take good notes of reliability. Then stock up on what performs best. Also test magazines which are the most common weak link in malfunctions. cheers and stay safe!
