It sounds like the meat is packed in single, large portions. Obviously you would want to stretch those portions out. Can you reseal with no refrigeration?

yes you can. use a vacuum sealer

The canned meat is not resealable. Once it's opened it will begin to spoil without refrigeration.

These are resealable with no refrigeration required although original shelf life will be reduced.
