I am interested in purchasing buds item #4442 it's the Savage 17 hmr and want to get scope at the same time . This will be used primarily for varmits 120 yards or less . So I would like a good scope but not break the bank 😁also I would like recommendations for ammo of course would like ammo that's easiest on the Barrell etc. And not expensive if possible . Thanks in advance..brian

Brian, it would be hard to beat the BSA Sweet 17 Scope which is calibrated for 17HMR. Any of the 17 HMR loads here will get the job done : budsgunshop.com/search.php/type/Ammunition/caliber/10000841/sort/per-round-asc
