  • Confused on materials. Does the Elite stainless have a uncoated (no PVD) stainless steel slide (SS)? The frame is Alloy - does that mean it is stainless steel w/ the PVD coating? Also read post that you can't use Hoppes solvent (or any powder solvent) on the PVD coated frames. True?

  • Edward, the Elite Stainless has an uncoated (SS) full Stainless Steel Slide and Frame (no PVD). The Hoppes solvent/powder solvent is not recommended on PVD coated frames.

  • Alloy is lighter than stainless. PVD is tough. Do not know about the solvents
