  • i've tried federal match (3 types), rws, aguila, fiocci, several versions of cci, all kinds of remington...literally probably about 15 or 20 different 22 products, most match grade. only ammo i'm having success with is cci green tag. i've read that cci std vel will also work. i tried cci pistol match yesterday. never got 2 consecutive rounds to feed and fire. that cci pistol match looked identical to green tag ...same 40 gr bullet, same 1070 muzzle vel. i even measured the rim thicknesses

  • David, Rim fire semi autos have many issues. If CCI Green Tag works then buy that and don't worry about it. At least you found a round that works.

  • Just a thought since you've tried many different rounds ... you may want to have your gun's action tuned a little bit. Maybe just a bit of polishing would help the functioning. I shoot a lot of 22s in two Ruger models and have had great luck with "Lapua Pistol King" ... it's obviously tuned for pistols, is really accurate and runs great in my guns ... worth a try.

  • David, the S&W 41is relatively large and the only 22lr I have found consistent is CCI - Mini-Mag, Velocitors (surprisingly accurate not to be Match), Green Tag and ELEY Match 22lr 40gr. Cheers and stay Safe
