SO i have an 1100 from about the mid to late 80s. GOing to try and get back into hunting. Have there been any chances to the 1100 that would keep this from working on my older model

all the Remington 1100 parts will fit the older models with the exception of some 20 ga as the older 20 ga 1100 guns were built on the 12 ga frame and the new LT 20 parts will not fit (smaller frame

Jeffrey, Should be no problem at all. Accessories for current 1100s will fit and function on a 1980s model 1100.
