Does the new gun come without oiling. Can dealer open the box without me present and handle it? Thank you.

Unnamed,
The dealer has the right to open and inspect all firearms that come to his place of business without you present. However, it is his/her decision to do so. As an FFL holder, I am required by the ATF to log in any firearm qualifying firearm that remains in my possession overnight. As such, I choose to open any package I receive knowing the customer will not be in the same day to receive it. However, I do make a case by case determination. If I see that the packaging is damaged in any way I believe could have possibly damaged the contents, I may wait for the customer to be present. In all cases, photos are taken prior to opening each package.
The new MP9 comes with very minor manufacturers lubrication from what I have seen. Any firearm I personally purchase, I opcheck, field strip, inspect, lubricate as necessary, reassemble, opcheck again prior to use.

Hi, Yes, FFL dealers do open the box to inspect the pistol (Check serial numbers and etc) without you present. They also have to make sure that this is the correct gun and register serial numbers...also inspect the gun. Usually, new guns come with oiling from the factory but it does not hurt to oil it more. I hope this helps.
