I am waiting on my Henry Long Ranger to arrive chambered in
.223/5.56
I would like to have a nice scope that will reach out to 150 yards and not break the bank. i have always been an open sight guy with the exception of a peep sight here and there so i am scope ignorant. i would like to stay below 200 bucks if possible. suggestions?

Hi,
For 150 yards, you don't really need much magnification. 3X - 4X enough for 100 - 200 yards range. I would recommend you to get 2-7X or 3-9X scope as it would allow you to engage longer-range too. Check these out: Vortex Optics Crossfire II 3-9×40 and Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32. I hope this helps.
