Michael, If all your specs are correct a fore grip should be no problem. I check with my local FFL when I have a legality issue. They always have the answer.

Hi Michael,
Technically yes, you can add foregrip. If it is legally classified as a pistol (Likely the case as it is listed as a pistol and comes with a pistol brace), then it is not legal for you to attach a foregrip. However, here is where It gets complicated, you said that this pistol has an overall length longer than 26 in which is where "pistol" turns into just "firearm". This means that you can add foregrip without needing to worry about NFA or tax stamp. But remember, this is only legal as long as you maintain the greater than 26-inch length and pistol brace. I hope this helps.

I would not add a vertical fore grip unless the overall length of the weapon is greater than 26." You can add a hand stop, anything less than a 90 degree angle. If you do add a vertical grip you've technically converted it to what ATF calls an "AOW" which is a class III weapon and requires the stamp/registration.
