John, this looks like it should be good to go in MA. Being a semi-automatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine, it only has 1 of the 2 evil features (pistol grip) that would make it a banned weapon. This compliant version has a non-threaded barrel and a fixed stock.

This rifle is should be eligible for purchase in MA. As it wouldn't fall under the Assault weapon category according to MA definition of assault weapons.
"✘ Massachusetts-defined “Assault Weapons” ✘ Any semi-automatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following: ●Folding or telescoping stock ●Pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon ●A bayonet mount ●Flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor ●Grenade launcher""
This rifle does not have a threaded barrel or a flash suppressor, and the stock is fixed. There is also no Bayonetta mount, or Grenade launcher, it has a detachable, magazine but only has 1 of the additional features (pistol grip that protrudes below the action) and it needs 2 features from the second list to be banned. Also the capacity is within limits,
Rifles that are not “Assault Weapons” are permitted(10-round maximum) and include: ✔ Any .17 or .22 caliber rimfire rifle.
So unless somethings changed in the laws you would be good to go
