No Thumb Safety, as opposed to TS, thumb safety.
Robert, NTS = No Thumb Safety. This specific Model M&P M2.0 features an extended stainless-steel chassis and high grip-to-barrel bore axis ratio, an aggressively-textured grip, and four interchangeable palmswell inserts for optimal hand-fit and trigger reach, and two magazines. This Compact model has a 4" stainless steel barrel and slide with a black Armornite durable corrosion-resistant finish and no manual thumb safety.
