Some pistols just have a break in period, I would as already stated field strip and clean and lube the pistol,.make sure you don't spray any cleaner or lubricant directly into the trigger assembly, as that can cause malfunctions later down the road.
You said you've tried different brands of ammo, have you tried different bullet weights? Like 9mm comes in 115 grain, 124 grain, and 147 grain weight, if its all the same weight try a different weight and see if maybe that cycles better. Different weight ammo will have different kick to it and maybe the ammo wieght your using doesn't kick the slide back hard enough, this can happen when a recoil spring is designed to mainly run +p ammo, you may also try switching the recoil spring to one thats lighter, and also as was already said try to contact the manufacturer as most firearms manufacturers stand.behind their products and will usually make it right at little to no cost to you (depending on who the manufacturer is.

Gene, you did not specify the model handgun you have. I would do a basic field strip, clean and lube and retry. If it still malfunctions with both or more magazines, I would contact the manufacturer for resolution/service. Cheers and stay safe!
