Does a non color case hardened version of this gun come with the upgraded and checkered wood?

Boyd, I have never seen that configuration but I would contact Winchester Customer Service to confirm at (800) 945-5237 or (801) 876-3440.

Boyd, No, The wood stock is standard grade and smooth with no checkering.
