When looking over the MC312 Gobbler for the first time, I thought the butt pad was too hard to offer any appreciable recoil reduction. After firing my new shotgun I found my observation to be correct. Ten rounds of 3 inch 1-1/4 federal blue box was fired. Too much felt recoil ! Now I'm trying to find a better recoil pad or some other solution to this problem. I know it's an inertia action, is light and 3-1/2: so it needs a better than average recoil pad. Comments.
