The ATI heatshield is not a standard option Eric. The replacement hand guard is already isolated from the barrel and will transfer minimum heat. You would literally have to be in a "Fire fight" to heat this to an uncomfortable level.

I don't think you'd need a heat shield here. I use gloves often when shooting, with gloves you'll be fine. Even without gloves, in think you're fine here.
