  • Thinking of this gun for my wife. She finds racking the slide on my M&P Shield too hard. How does this gun compare to racking the slide on the M&P EZ which I'm also considering.. Thanks!

  • S&W EZ is SIGNIFICANTLY EASIER to rack slide than G43. I owned both and my grandma with arthritis can rack the EZ and not the G43. I would go as far as to say that S&W EZ is as easy to rack as some .22lr guns. I hope this helps!

  • The M&P EZ is a low profile hammer fired gun, and requires much less spring compression to rack the slide, the glock43 is striker fired and will have a similar pull weight to the standard shield, some companies sell lighter weight recoil springs, which make it easier to rack the slide , but I couldn't find any for the G43.
    Training technique, and practice with dummy rounds can make racking a slide much easier l, and in general the 43, and 43x are considered good carry pieces for women,
