  • Does this gun handle standard velocity ammo ok in your experience? If not, is there any provision to weaken the recoil spring (like cutting a turn or two off the spring) or some other adjustment? I have some very good quality RWS SV ammo that’s getting pretty old, that I want to use up in a practice gun.

  • From what I'm reading this handles standard velocity ammo just fine. People were saying with low velocity ammo or subsonic ammo they had occasional feeding issues but not with standard to high velocity ammo. If for some reason it won't feed properly they make upgraded recoil springs for lower velocity ammo for this pistol. Hope this helps.

  • In mine some standard velocity will work when the gun is clean and freshly oiled but will not lock the slide on last shot . mine loves CCI blazers and mini mags

  • Craig, standard velocity will cycle but not as reliable as high velocity ammunition. I highly recommend CCI and other high velocity loads that I found most reliable in my GSG Firefly. Cheers and stay safe!
