Joe, Bud's is required by law to collect the sales tax for the state in which you live, as is every other on line retailer. >>>>> bigcommerce.com/blog/ecommerce-sales-tax/#undefined
I don't live in the state buds deals out of and I've always been charged tax. Sadly alot of companies are now required to charge taxes, regardless of state. Quite a few online shops I buy from have recently started charging taxes for past year or two. Hope this helps.
It's my understanding that buds is required to collect state sales tax for the state that you live in unless there is an exemption present, if you believe you were cheated incorrectly, Call buds during buissnes hours at 859-368-0371, 9am-9pm eastern Mon-Fri
Or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and closed Sunday

buds will charge sales taxes based on where you live here is why. this change came about "On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court fundamentally changed the rules for collection of sales tax by Internet-based retailers. In its decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc., the Court effectively stated that individual states can require online sellers to collect state sales tax on their sales" nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/50-state-guide-internet-sales-tax-laws.html
