It could but the mounts are sold separately, this is more for pistols. I'd recommend the sig Romeo, you can even get the sig Romeo and Juliet Wich is the red dot and magnifier for the same price to cheaper than this and comes with the proper mounts to fit an ar15. Hope this helps.
