Hi, all,
I am new to firearms and was wondering what ammunition is able to be fired from my Mossberg 500 Turkey 12 Gauge (budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/94979/mossberg+&+sons+500+turkey+12+ga+20+mossy+oak+obsession+3+chamber). Because it is an extra full choke, I understand that limits what I can fire, but I don't know to what. I was told that slugs are no good (is that correct?) and that some of the larger types of buckshot wouldn't work, either.

Scott, The Turkey Choke should be removable/replaceable with a more open Modified or improved Cylinder choke. With your current choke, shot up to 00 Buck lead shot can be used. Lead is soft. Steel shot up to BBB will also work. Cheers and stay safe!
