Are there any performance or aesthetic compromises for being CA, CO, & MD compliant other than a 10 round magazine that can be replaced with a regular 25 round stock magazine.

depends on the gun some guns have features like the LCI and magazine disconnect safety added

Youssef, no Sir on the Smith & Wesson SWL MP1522SPT. Most manufacturers including S&W make firearm packages that have 10rd magazines so their firearms can also be sold in states that have magazine capacity restrictions. The firearms are exactly the same but just have 10rd mags included. The firearms will also accept any standard capacity magazines just fine.

In this case no this will run and perform like a standard model and will accept standard capacity magazines as well
