Correct, this model does not have a manual thumb safety. I own this one but with the manual safety and love it. I personally prefer a safety especially since sig did a decent job with it, it's small enough to not get in the way but is still easy to engage/disengage. Just personal preference but either way the sig p365 xl is a fantastic pistol and my everyday carry. hope this helps.
