How and where do you unlock this gun? Can the internal lock be disabled ?

Darlene, no firearm specified. Just re-post with the model. You should also be able to find the lock mechanism information in the owners manual. Cheers and stay safe!

most internal locks were like a special Allen key that you inserted and turned I just put the keys away and dont worry about the lock as you have to use the key to lock them
