Ronda, weight is 6.8 lbs. Win-Choke choke tubes. Yes you can shoot rifled slugs with this gun. Have a great day!

According to Savage arms the manufacturer this weights 4.6 pounds. Yes this will work fine with slugs. Hope this helps.
