  • Hi Frederick, Here is what I could find on this ammo - I'd say that it is low recoil...GBW Cartridge a fantastic line of affordable ammunition with FMJ bullets that is ideal for target shooting, training and competition. • Their 115gr is not subsonic "at sea level" unlike here in the mountains it is. The 124 or 147gr are subsonic, not necessarily low recoil, just slower than sound. Momentum=mass x velocity

  • Buds has 4 different Legend ammo 9mm loads L9SSA 147 grain subsonic L9SSB 124 grain subsonic LP9MMA andL9MMA both 115 grain 1150 fps 9mm loads normally 9mm subsonic rounds are around 1000 fps or lower. a subsonic round will be less recoil than a higher velocity round with the same weigh projectiles IE 115 gr 9mm subsonic will recoil less than a 115 grain normal velocity round will the 124 grain recoil subsonic recoil less that the 115 normal load? I am not sure but it would still be a very enjoyable round to shoot

  • Yes, subsonic rifle and pistol ammunition will have a "reduced" powder charge to stay in the subsonic speed range and will have less felt recoil than standard ammunition.

  • I think they're a quieter load is all.
