i thought this model came with top slide optics plate, the picture does not appear to show one.

Bernard, no the tp9 sf elite is not optics ready. I own this model and while it's a great pistol it's not optics ready. Now the canik tp9 elite sc Wich looks identical to this just smaller is optics ready. Maybe that's the one you're thinking of. Hope this helps.
