  • I am looking at buying this rifle. For hunting use, ranges from 10' to 400 yards.....mostly going to use a Harris bipod for longer shots. Does this stock need to be swapped out with something like a Boyd's stock?

  • The stocks are not as stiff as they could be but inside 400 yards it may be fine. That not a long reach for that gun. I am looking at that model My plans arr to see how it shoots and go from there.

  • Hi David, Thats a great gun for the money. I would suggest you not go the bipod route on this gun. I would urge you to get a pair of adjustable height Shooting sticks. They are much more versatile and allow you many different shooting positions. Even a single Monopod that doubles as a walking stick can increase your shooting skill alot. The bi pods add weight and bulk to your gun that is better left off if given a choice. Good luck.

  • I have this rifle and changing the stock out is a personal preference. Changing it out will not make it shoot better or worse. I would go and shoot it to see how you perform with it and make your decision based off that.
