is this gun legal in illinois
Harry, the answer under this one is incorrect, it is not banned statewide, just the 3 places previously listed.
Harry, no Sir. The ability for a Semi-Auto Handgun to accept a detachable magazine out side of the pistol grip is a restriction across the entirety of the State of IL. A manufactured weight of fifty (50) ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded is also prohibuted (this pistol weighs 50 ounces unloaded). Harry, it is legal unless you live in Cook County, City of Aurora, or City of Highland Park. Have a great day!

Ruger Charger .22LR Pistol, 10" Threaded Barrel, 15+1
Harry, looks like this is legal unless you live in cook county, city of highland Park, or city of Aurora. I think Illinois tries making their gun laws so confusing people just give up trying to buy one. So it's best to double check with your local FFL dealer since they will have the most up to date laws. Hope this helps, here's a link to Illinois's restrictions...... budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
