  • James, most manufacturers including Ruger make firearms packages with 10rd magazines so they can be sold in capacity restricted States without hassle. The Firearm itself is identical in both packages and either firearm will accept either capacity magazine no issue. Cheers and stay safe!

  • James, there is no difference in the gun. You can mix n' match different capacity magazines, it will accept them all. Have a great day!

  • James, no difference. Most manufacturers make 10rd firearms packages so they can be sold in capacity restricted States. The firearms are identical in every way with just the magazine capacity being different. The firearm will accept 10rd or higher capacity magazines no issue. Cheers and stay safe!

  • James, there is zero difference other than magazine capacity. It just comes with a 10 round magazine for states with magazine capacity restrictions. So yes this will accept higher capacity magazines no issue. Hope this helps.
