Does this model has the side mount for optics
Daniel, unfortunately it does not. Many replace the receiver cover with a railed unit : -- opticsplanet.com/ncstar-scope-mount-ak-accessory-top-cover-3-rail-mount-mtak.html
Daniel, to be on the safe side I'd contact century arms at 561-908-7993 or email them at ( support@centuryarms.com ) because I'm getting mixed answers and firearms are too pricey now days to not know exactly what you're getting.
Test
Ok found a better option, the product I was originally looking for.
This is a side mount you can attach directly to the VSKA also sold by Robski at the AK-OU.

"This is a side rail that is easily retrofitted to most milled or stamped AK styled receivers without the need to drill and rivet, or utilize a gunsmith. It attaches to the existing hammer and trigger holes by using the proprietary mounting pins. This is a low profile, reversible modification that allows the use of the many commercially available side rail optic mounts.
The rail can be placed in minutes and can later be removed if desired as no permanent modifications are done to the receiver. The side rail is rock solid and parallel to the barrel. The bonus of this design is that the internal shepherds crook retaining wire is no longer needed to secure the hammer and trigger assemblies.
This "no-mod" side rail is the perfect accessory for "early" AKs such as the MAK 90 and other Chinese models; Arsenal TM SA 93 and SLR 95. It also fits Century TM C39; Yugoslavian PAPs; AMD-63; Egyptian Maadi, M85, home builds and all milled and stamped AKs that utilize standard hammer and trigger axis pins"
Paul, Googling the upc 787450777743 several sites show this with a side mount.
Not sure where Josh got that answer, but from what I've read on century arms website the VSKA doesn't include a mount point for a side rail, maybe I missed something, but from what I read it's just the C39V2 and newest RAS47 that include a side mount.
This model does not, include a side mount for an optic.
You could get a ultimake gas tube rail from the AKOU store. Rob who runs that store/youtube channel is about as knowledgeable person as you'll ever find on AKS, un stock here.
